Yes a second blog for today yes there are many things I could be doing but I'm doing this now but it'll be alright because what I have to do will always be there to do, clothes to dry, to fold, dishes to wash they wont do their selves but they will wait on me that is for sure. This blog is about being kind! Jesus commanded that we love one another as he has loved us part of loving someone is showing them kindness! So a few of my friends started to partake in this 52 week's of Random Acts of Kindness..I was on my heart for a bit I love to do things for people I love to help when I can, I love to do what I can do for others, but however I wasn't sure that monetarily wise if I could do this, but kindness doesn't always require cash, sometimes it's just your time, sometimes it's lending an ear, a shoulder or a hand! Sometimes it's a small prayer, answering a late night phone call for a friend who needs you. But this random act of kindness, this gesture can change a person's whole day..you never know you could change their whole life the possibilities are endless you know kindness shown, kindness given and paid forward sometimes a wonderful ripple effect of love flooding out into this not so kind world if we all just gave a little more of ourselves. If we all just took a little time for someone else think of all the pointless junk we fill our day's with facebook, other social networking sites, complaining, fussing, pity parties if we just took a break from some of these things and found time for others just something simple...I garuntee you when you take the time for others to bless them with an act of kindness it will bless your heart. Today I completed my 4th random act of kindness for this year and I have to say it makes me smile I may not know who's life I touched, or who I made smile...but God knows and that's all that matters. My heart is happy..
If your looking for ideas here is what I have done thus far I have for my first 3 random acts of kindness gave out 3 Wal Mart gift cards with $5 on each of them in a nice little card I know to some $5 doesn't seem like much but when you don't have much or you need something it comes in handy. Today random act number 4 was since I was at the laundromat having to do my own laundry because my washer decided to die I figured I'd leave a note on one of the washers with enough money to do a load of laundry the note said that This load is on me! God calls us to help carry each others loads at time so today I want to help you do your laundry! Again a small load is only $2.50 but you know someone like me who was having a bad day and had to come in there and do their laundry might receive this and it might make them smile and turn their day around. Those are the ones I've done but there are other things you can do volunteer your time, give out grocery cards, donate some coupons to someone you know who coupons, offer to help someone with big projects they may have going on. It doesn't have to cost you a dime. Just a little time think of how much time we do waste ;-) time is free and the most valuable thing you can ever give someone!
